Cricket pitch hire

To book a cricket pitch at one of our recreation grounds, submit your request at the start of the season. Regular hirers will be given priority.

How to book

To book, email leisure@elmbridge.gov.uk with:

• dates for hire
• preferred location or site name
• times for play
• age groups playing
• any other relevant information

Booking requirements

When booking, you’ll need to:

• provide a copy of your organisation’s public liability insurance (minimum indemnity limit of no less than £5 million cover)
• pay online for ad-hoc bookings (fewer than 5 bookings per request)
• pay by invoice for regular bookings (5 or more per request)
• submit your request at least 2 weeks in advance

If you’re booking with less than 2 weeks’ notice, email leisure@elmbridge.gov.uk to check availability.

Bookings are first come, first served. You can book for a playing season, occasional games or on an ad-hoc basis.

You can hire cricket squares at:

• Coronation Recreation Ground, Hersham
• Long Ditton Recreation Ground   
• Molesey Hurst Recreation Ground 

Cancel a booking

To cancel, email leisure@elmbridge.gov.uk by the end of the Tuesday before the match week. Refunds are not issued for cancellations made after this time.

Fees

Block bookings that meet the conditions set by HMRC will qualify for a VAT exemption, see GOV.UK: Sport supplies that are VAT exempt.
