If you’re organising a community event or procession on a public road or highway, you must apply for a temporary road closure.
Temporary road closures are free and allow you to close the road to passing traffic during your event.
Before you start
- You must apply at least 6 weeks before your event.
- If your event is on private land or off the road, you do not need to apply for a road closure.
