May 2026 update: the start of the refurbishment works at The Hurst Pool has been delayed due to contractor issues. A revised start date is currently being finalised. We will provide a further update once this has been confirmed, including any impact on access to the centre.
Key improvements included in the works:
- modernised changing rooms
- upgraded interior décor throughout
- enhanced energy efficiency to reduce environmental impact
- improved vending provision for refreshments and coffee.

The refurbished reception and gallery viewing area will offer a brighter, more welcoming space with improved seating, including a raised desk equipped with charging points for laptops and devices. The design also features upgraded vending facilities with an improved selection of refreshments and snacks – including fresh bean coffee. The new layout enhances comfort and visibility for those waiting or watching swim sessions.
