Walton Charity is a local charity based in Elmbridge that provides almshouse accommodation for people aged over 55. 

Walton Charity almshouses: Mayfield and Fenner House, Walton-on-Thames

These almshouses are for people aged over 55 who want to live in a safe and supportive environment.

They offer self-contained flats with modern amenities, a large communal lounge, kitchen and gardens. Residents can take part in regular activities, including game nights, coffee mornings, a gardening club and exercise classes. Both almshouses are close to public transport.

A dedicated housing and maintenance team is available, along with a 24/7 on-call emergency system.

A hardship fund is also available for residents who need financial support.

Charges

Residents pay a weekly maintenance contribution that includes water and heating bills. They live in the property under a licence granted by the charity. 

Who can apply

To apply for a place in one of Walton Charity's almshouses, you must meet the eligibility criteria. This helps us support those most in need.

You must:

• be aged over 55
• live in Elmbridge
• be able to live independently
• have limited financial means

How to apply

To express an interest in living in one of Walton Charity’s almshouses, fill in the Walton Charity independent living registration form. 

Once Walton Charity receives your form, a member of their team will contact you to talk about your housing needs.
