How to report dangerous dogs or dogs out of control in public places.
We promote responsible dog ownership, alongside the police, the Dogs Trust, the RSPCA, and other organisations.
We encourage dog owners and walkers to follow:
GOV.UK: controlling your dog in public
It’s against the law to let a dog be dangerously out of control anywhere in a public place or on private property.
Dangerous dogs, including biting and banned breeds, should be reported directly to the police:
Report a dangerous dog to Surrey Police (animal crime)
You can report a dog that is out of control in a public place to us.
Report a dog disturbance or injury to wildlife by emailing countryside@elmbridge.gov.uk.
